As the school year winds down I have been doing a lot and thinking about a lot. As a teacher in North Carolina my daughter and I participated along with 30,000 other teachers from across our state in a rally on the opening day of the short session. What an experience!! My eyes are really opening to just how much our students need and are not provided. Teacherspayteachers has been a life saver for me in providing my students with materials and with income to purchase materials not provided by our state. Why this is necessary has been a big question on my mind lately. There is so much work that needs to be done to advocate for our students in NC and in our nation.

As I finish up the school year I am busy writing "open when you graduate" letters for my 6th graders and enclosing their first day of middle school picture. I am so excited about these and hope that they will enjoy them in 2014. :)

This summer I will be creating a lot and tidying up a lot and will post many "free forever" and "free for a short time" products. In particular I will be adding a lot of 7th grade materials. Be on the lookout!

Finally, Some New Products!

Happy New Year! I hope you've had a wonderful break and a wonderful first half of the school year! I started a new journey as a Gifted and Talented teacher at an elementary school this year. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new role but I have been overwhelmed with mastering all the K-5 curriculum so that I can bring my very best for my students. I am feeling much more confident at this point and now have some time to dedicate to updating my TpT store . Over the next few weeks I will be adding many new products I've created this fall to use with my K-5 students and to share with my colleagues.
